Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 21, 2026
This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the tools at www.orientaconsulting.com or subscribe to its news, what we use it for and what your rights are, in accordance with Argentine Personal Data Protection Law 25,326.
1. Data controller
The database is controlled by Maximiliano Vaz (Orienta Trade Consulting), tax ID (CUIT) 20-34189401-9, located at Obispo Moscoso 2800, Córdoba, Argentina. Contact: max@orientaconsulting.com.
2. What data we collect
- When you sign in: your email and, if you use Google, your account name. Your full name and, if you wish, company and country.
- Your acceptance of the Terms and, if you tick it, of receiving news, with the date.
- If you subscribe to news through the website form: only your email, language, the page you subscribed from and the dates of subscription and unsubscription.
- Calculator usage: date, whether you calculated or downloaded the PDF, container type, number of packages, volume percentage and total weight. We do not store your product details, dimensions or references: those stay in your browser.
- Technical data: your browser keeps your session so we don't ask for your details every time. Our hosting provider logs technical data (such as IP address) for security. We do not use advertising cookies.
3. What we use it for
- Giving you access to the calculator and preventing abuse.
- Improving the tools with usage statistics.
- Answering your questions.
- Sending you news about foreign trade and Orienta's services, only if you agreed.
4. Required data and consent
Your email and name are required to use the calculator: without them we cannot give you access. Company, country and news are optional. To subscribe to news we only need your email; we send you a welcome email with a link to unsubscribe. We process your data based on your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your data. It is processed on our behalf by these providers: Supabase (database and sign-in), Google (only if you sign in with Google), Resend (sending the code and emails) and Vercel (site hosting).
Some of these providers have servers outside Argentina. We choose providers with appropriate security measures and, by accepting this policy, you consent to that international transfer.
6. How long we keep it
While you use the tools or until you ask us to delete it. If you unsubscribe from news, we stop sending it but may keep a record of the unsubscription.
7. Your rights
You can request access to your data, correct, update or delete it, and withdraw your consent by writing to max@orientaconsulting.com. We respond within the legal deadlines (10 calendar days for access and 5 business days for correction or deletion). Every news email includes an unsubscribe link.
The data subject has the right to access their personal data free of charge at intervals of no less than six months, unless a legitimate interest is shown, as provided in article 14, paragraph 3 of Law 25,326.
The AGENCIA DE ACCESO A LA INFORMACIÓN PÚBLICA (Argentina's data protection authority), as the supervisory body of Law 25,326, is empowered to handle complaints from anyone whose rights are affected by non-compliance with personal data protection rules.
8. Security
We protect data with reasonable technical measures: encrypted connections and rules that prevent one person from seeing another's data. No system is infallible; if an incident affecting you occurs, we will let you know.
9. Minors
The tools are intended for professional use and are not directed at people under 18.
10. Changes
If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page with its date.
